D&G Password Unlocker: Free Download + FRP Bypass Guide (2026)

D&G Password Unlocker is one of those tools that keeps showing up in search results no matter how old it gets and there’s a reason for that. For older Android devices stuck on a Google verification screen it still works, it’s completely free and it doesn’t require credits or an account to use. This guide covers everything you need to know about D&G Password Unlocker in 2026, what it does, which devices it actually supports, how to use all three bypass methods and what to do if your device is too new for it.

Before You Download – Read This First

Most guides about D&G Password Unlocker skip this part entirely and that’s exactly why so many people waste 20 minutes downloading, installing and trying the tool only to find out it doesn’t work on their phone. So here it is upfront.

D&G Password Unlocker works reliably on Android 4.0 through 6.0.1. Some users have reported success on Android 7 and 8 on certain older devices but that’s not guaranteed. If your phone is running Android 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 or higher this tool is almost certainly not going to work for you.

Check your Android version before doing anything else. On the locked device look at the setup screen for any version information, or if the phone was yours before it got locked you may already know the Android version from before the reset.

If your device is on Android 9 or above, scroll down to the Related Tools section at the bottom of this post. We have tools that actually work on newer Android versions and will save you time.

If you’re on Android 6 or below, keep reading. This tool was built for exactly your situation.

What is D&G Password Unlocker

D&G Password Unlocker is a free Windows based FRP bypass tool that’s been around since 2016. It was designed to help people get past Google’s Factory Reset Protection on older Android devices, specifically for situations where someone has done a factory reset and either forgotten their Google account credentials or bought a secondhand device that still has the previous owner’s account attached.

The tool works by connecting the locked device to a Windows PC via USB and using one of three built in bypass methods to either sideload an alternative launcher, install Nova Launcher to bypass the setup wizard, or push a direct FRP removal script through the ADB connection.

One thing worth knowing upfront is that the tool interface is entirely in Spanish. There is no English version. This surprises a lot of people who download it expecting a straightforward English interface. The good news is that the layout is logical and once you know which buttons to press the language barrier is manageable. This guide will walk you through exactly where to click so you don’t have to guess.

The tool hasn’t received major updates since its original release which is why it doesn’t support newer Android versions. For what it was designed to do though, which is bypassing FRP on budget and mid range devices running older Android versions, it still does the job without any cost or registration required.

Features and Supported Devices

Here’s a clear breakdown of what D&G Password Unlocker can actually do and which devices it works on:

What it can do:

FRP removal is the main function. The tool removes the Google account verification screen that appears after a factory reset on supported devices. It does this through three different methods giving you options if one approach doesn’t work on your specific device.

Screen lock removal is also available on certain devices. If your phone is locked with a PIN, pattern or password rather than FRP the tool has a removal option for that too on supported models.

Firmware flashing capability exists in the tool for basic operations on certain brands. This is a secondary function most people don’t need but it’s there if you’re working on a device that also needs a firmware refresh alongside FRP removal.

Bloatware removal is available for certain Samsung models, letting you disable carrier-installed apps that can’t be removed normally through the settings menu.

Supported brands:

XiaomiYesSome modelsNo
LenovoYesSome modelsNo
MotorolaYesSome modelsNo
HTCYesSome modelsNo
HuaweiYesNoNo
AsusSome modelsNoNo
YuphoriaYesNoNo

Important limitations:

LG, Sony and Nokia are not supported. The tool simply doesn’t have these brands in its database. If your device is from one of these manufacturers the tool will detect it but won’t be able to perform any operation on it.

The Spanish interface is a real barrier for some users but it’s workable once you know where things are. The step by step guide further below tells you exactly which tab to open and which button to click so you won’t need to read Spanish to use it.

What You Need Before Starting

Keep this straightforward. Here’s everything you need before you download or run anything:

A Windows PC running any version from XP through Windows 11. The tool is old enough that it actually runs well on older Windows versions too. Windows 10 or 11 gives you the best USB driver compatibility but any Windows version from the last 15 years should work fine.

A USB data cable. Not a charging only cable. This is worth repeating because it’s the most common reason people think the tool isn’t detecting their device when the real problem is just the cable. If your PC doesn’t see the phone when you plug it in, the cable is the first thing to check.

Wi-Fi connection on the locked device. The bypass methods in D&G Password Unlocker require the device to be connected to Wi-Fi during the process. Make sure you have your Wi-Fi password ready before you start so you can connect the locked device during the setup screen.

Samsung USB drivers or ADB drivers installed on your PC. Without drivers your PC won’t communicate with the device properly. You can download the right drivers from our drivers page.

WinRAR or 7-Zip on your PC. The tool comes as a RAR archive and you’ll need one of these to extract it. Both are free to download.

Antivirus temporarily disabled. Since there is no official website for this tool and it communicates with device firmware at a low level, some antivirus programs will flag it during extraction or installation. Disable your antivirus temporarily while installing and re-enable it afterward. Only download from the link on this page which we have verified.

There is no official website for this tool. The original developers never maintained a dedicated download page, which is why third-party sites have filled the gap, many of them bundling modified versions with malware. The link below is a verified clean version we host directly.

How to Install

Installation is simple but there are a couple of steps people skip that cause problems later.

Step 1: Extract the RAR file

Right click the downloaded file and select Extract Here using WinRAR or 7-Zip. If your antivirus flags the file during extraction, temporarily disable it and extract again. Re-enable your antivirus after installation is complete.

Step 2: Install the tool

Open the extracted folder and run the installer as administrator. Right click the setup file and select Run as Administrator. Follow the on screen prompts. The interface will be in Spanish but the installation steps are standard next, next, finish.

Step 3: Install USB drivers

Before connecting your device, make sure the correct USB drivers are installed. Samsung devices need Samsung USB drivers. For other brands use the Universal ADB Driver. Both are available on our drivers page.

Step 4: Enable USB Debugging on the locked device

This is where most people get stuck. On the FRP screen you need to access Developer Options to enable USB Debugging before the tool can communicate with the device. The method varies by device but on most Samsung devices you can access it through the setup wizard by tapping the accessibility settings or connecting to Wi-Fi first and navigating through the emergency call screen. The step by step guide below covers this in more detail for each method.

Step by Step FRP Bypass Guide

D&G Password Unlocker gives you three bypass methods. Try Method 1 first. If it doesn’t work on your device move to Method 2, then Method 3.

Before starting any method:

Open D&G Password Unlocker as administrator. Connect your locked device via USB. In the tool, click the tab that says Archivos at the top. This is where all three bypass options live.

Method 1: SideSync

This method works best on Samsung devices running Android 5 and 6.

In the Archivos tab click the SideSync option. The tool will push the SideSync APK to your device. Once it installs on the device, open SideSync and use it to navigate to the device settings and disable the Google account verification. Follow the on screen prompts in the tool window which will guide you through each step.

When complete, restart the device and go through the normal setup without the Google verification screen appearing.

Method 2: Nova Launcher

This method works on a wider range of supported brands including Xiaomi, Lenovo and Motorola.

In the Archivos tab click the Nova Launcher option. The tool installs Nova Launcher directly onto the locked device via ADB. Once installed, Nova Launcher bypasses the setup wizard entirely and takes you straight to a home screen. From there open the app drawer, go to Settings, then Accounts, and remove the previously synced Google account. Restart the device and complete setup normally.

Method 3: Bypass Remover

This is the most direct method and works when the other two don’t.

In the Archivos tab click Bypass Remover. The tool pushes a script directly to the device that removes the FRP flag from the firmware. This method requires USB Debugging to already be enabled on the device. If you can’t enable USB Debugging through the setup screen this method won’t work without trying Method 1 or 2 first to gain access.

When the script finishes the tool will show a completion message in the log window. Disconnect the device and restart manually using the power button.

Errors and Fixes

Device not detected

Check the cable first. It has to be a data cable. Then check that Samsung USB drivers or ADB drivers are installed and that the tool is running as administrator. Try a different USB port, preferably USB 2.0. Some older devices have compatibility issues with USB 3.0 ports.

APK installation fails during SideSync or Nova Launcher method

This usually means USB Debugging isn’t enabled on the device. Go back through the setup wizard and try to access Developer Options. On Samsung devices tap the Build Number seven times in About Phone if you can reach it through the locked setup screen. If you can’t reach it at all, try Method 3 instead.

Tool freezes or crashes mid process

Close the tool completely and restart as administrator. Disconnect the device, reconnect and try again. If the tool keeps crashing install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable from Microsoft’s official site and try once more.

Bypass completes but FRP screen still appears on restart

Do a full cold boot. Hold the power button until the device shuts off completely, wait 10 seconds, then power on manually. Do not use the restart option from the notification panel. If FRP still appears after a cold boot run the Bypass Remover method as a second pass.

Tool says device not supported

Your device is either not in the supported brands list, running Android 7 or above, or has a chipset the tool doesn’t recognize. Check the supported brands table in Section 5. If your device isn’t listed or your Android version is 7 or above the tool won’t work. Head to the Related Tools section below for alternatives.
