If you’re looking for an FRP Bypass APK to get past a Google account verification screen, you’re in the right place. FRP stands for Factory Reset Protection and it’s a security feature Google added to Android a few years back. The idea is simple: if someone resets your phone without signing out first, the device asks them to verify the Google account that was previously linked. It’s useful when a phone actually gets stolen but it becomes a real problem when you forget the account details yourself, buy a secondhand phone, or reset a device without signing out first.
What is a FRP Bypass APK?
If you’ve ever done a factory reset on an Android phone and hit a screen asking you to verify the Google account that was previously synced, that’s FRP. Google Factory Reset Protection locks the device after a reset to prevent unauthorized access. It’s a security feature, but it becomes a headache when you forget the account details, buy a secondhand phone, or reset a device without signing out first.
An FRP Bypass APK is a workaround for exactly that situation. It’s a small Android app that exploits certain openings in the setup screen to let you skip the Google verification step entirely. No PC required in most cases, no technical background needed. You just need the right APK for your Android version and a few minutes.
This guide covers which APKs work, which Android versions they support, how to actually use them, and where to download them safely. No paid tools, no unnecessary steps.

What You Need Before Starting
Keep this short you don’t need much:
The locked phone obviously. Make sure it’s charged to at least 30% before you start. The process involves several restarts and a dead battery mid-bypass means starting over.
A working Wi-Fi connection most bypass methods need you to connect to Wi-Fi at the setup screen. Have your network name and password ready.
The correct APK file check the compatibility table above and pick the right one for your Android version. Using the wrong APK wastes time and sometimes requires a full restart of the process.
A USB drive or second phone (sometimes) some methods require loading the APK via a file manager opened through the setup screen. A USB OTG drive makes this easier but isn’t always necessary depending on the method.
That’s it. No PC needed for most methods, no paid software, no special technical skills.
Popular FRP Bypass APKs Explained
There are a lot of APKs floating around with fancy names like VnROM, Pangu, Technocare, iActivate. Honest truth: most of them are the same base tools just repackaged and rebranded. The ones that actually do the work are simpler than the names suggest.
Here’s what’s actually being used under the hood:
GAM APK (Android 5, 6, 8-9-10) GAM stands for Google Account Manager. This is the core tool behind most FRP bypasses. It works by installing an older version of Google Account Manager that doesn’t enforce the FRP lock, letting you add a new account and get past the verification screen. Available in version-specific builds for Android 5, 6, and a combined build for 8 through 10. You can find similar versions on <a href=”https://gsm-hosting.com” target=”_blank” rel=”nofollow noopener”>GSM Hosting</a> as well.
FRP_Android_7.apk Android 7 has a slightly different FRP implementation so it gets its own dedicated file. Same concept, different exploit path.
FRP_Bypass.apk A general purpose bypass tool that works across multiple Android versions. Good fallback when the GAM method doesn’t work on your specific device.
FRP_RISErom Latest Our own compiled version, updated and tested. This is the one we recommend trying first if you’re unsure which one to pick.
How to Use FRP Bypass APK
This is the general method that works across most Android devices. Some brands like Samsung have extra steps and we’ll cover those in separate posts.
One thing before you start: make sure you’re on the FRP lock screen during setup. These APKs won’t do anything useful if the phone is already fully unlocked.
Step 1: Connect to Wi-Fi On the setup screen, connect to any available Wi-Fi network. Most bypass methods need an active internet connection to load and install the APK.
Step 2: Open a browser You need to find a way to open a browser from the setup screen. On most devices you can tap “Emergency Call,” type a special character in a text field, or use the accessibility menu to get there. This part varies by device so if you’re stuck just search “open browser from FRP screen” along with your device model.
Step 3: Download the right APK Once the browser is open, go to the download link and grab the APK that matches your Android version. The compatibility table above will tell you which one to pick.
Step 4: Install the APK Your phone will ask you to allow installs from unknown sources. Enable it and install the file. If you can’t find the downloaded APK, install ES File Explorer or File Commander from the helper tools list first to locate it.
Step 5: Add a Google account Once the APK is installed and opened, it will prompt you to sign in with a Google account. Any account works here, even a freshly created Gmail.
Step 6: Restart and finish setup After adding the account, restart the device. It should now skip the FRP verification screen and let you continue with normal setup. Go through it and you’re in.
If it doesn’t work the first time, try FRP_Bypass.apk or FRP_RISErom Latest next. Sometimes one method works where another doesn’t depending on the device model and security patch level.
FAQ
Is using an FRP bypass APK legal?
Using it on a device you own is completely fine. It’s your phone and you have every right to access it. Problems only come up when someone uses these tools on a device they don’t own.
Will this work on my Samsung?
Samsung has additional Knox security layers that make FRP bypass more involved than on other brands. The GAM method sometimes works on older Samsung devices but newer ones running Android 11 and above usually need a more specific approach. We have a dedicated Samsung post coming.
Why my phone is not accepting the APK install?
You need to enable “Install from unknown sources” first. On Android 8 and above this is a per-app permission so make sure you allow it for whichever browser or file manager you’re using to open the file.
The APK installed but nothing happened?
Try a different APK from the list. Also make sure you’re running it from the FRP lock screen during setup, not after the phone is already unlocked.
