This is worth understanding before you pick a tool because it explains why you’re reading this page after APK methods failed.

APK based FRP bypass works by exploiting openings in the Android setup wizard. These openings let you access a browser, download an APK, install it, and add a Google account to bypass verification. The problem is that Google and device manufacturers patch these openings with every major Android update. On Android 12 and above the setup wizard has been significantly hardened and most of the browser access points that APK methods relied on no longer exist.

PC based tools work differently. They connect to the device through ADB, EDL mode, Preloader mode or MTP mode and push bypass commands directly to the system partitions. This happens below the Android software layer where the setup wizard restrictions don’t apply. That’s why PC tools continue to work on newer Android versions where APK methods fail.

The tool works by pushing ADB commands to the Samsung device to enable USB debugging from the locked state and then executing an FRP reset through the ADB connection. The process is straightforward and requires no credits, no account and no server authentication.

The honest limitation is Android version coverage. GSM Flasher ADB works most reliably on Android 8 through 13. On Android 14 and above Samsung’s ADB security changes make this approach much less reliable. It also only covers Samsung devices unlike the multi-brand tools above.

What You Need Before Using Any PC Tool

This applies to every tool on this list. Get all of this ready before downloading anything:

A Windows PC running Windows 10 or 11. All six tools on this list are Windows applications. Some work on older Windows versions but 10 and 11 give the best driver compatibility and most stable experience. None of these tools work on Mac or Linux.

A USB data cable that supports data transfer. Not a charging only cable. This causes more failed repairs than any other single factor. If the tool isn’t detecting your device the cable is always the first thing to check. Try a different cable before changing any settings or drivers.

The correct USB drivers for your device’s chipset. Samsung USB drivers for Samsung devices. Qualcomm QDLoader 9008 drivers for Qualcomm chipsets. MediaTek VCOM drivers for MediaTek devices. Without the right drivers installed no PC tool will detect your device regardless of anything else you do. Download everything you need from our drivers page.

Admin rights on your PC. Every tool on this list must be run as administrator. Right click the executable and select Run as Administrator every time you open it. Running without admin rights causes detection failures that look like driver problems but aren’t.

Your device charged to at least 30%. PC based operations involve putting the device into special boot modes and restarting it. A dead battery mid-operation can leave the device in an incomplete state that’s harder to recover from than where you started.

Antivirus temporarily disabled. Most free PC FRP tools are flagged as suspicious by antivirus programs because of how they communicate with device hardware at a low level. This is a false positive but it can prevent the tool from running if your antivirus deletes files during extraction or launch. Disable it temporarily while setting up and running the tool then re-enable it when done.

General Step by Step PC Bypass Workflow

The specific steps vary between tools but the general workflow is consistent across all PC based FRP bypass operations. Understanding this flow helps you troubleshoot when individual steps don’t go as expected.

Step 1: Install drivers first Before connecting any device install the correct drivers for your device’s chipset. Check Device Manager after installation to confirm the drivers show without yellow warning icons. Restart your PC after driver installation.

Step 2: Open the tool as administrator Right click the tool executable and select Run as Administrator every single time. Never double click to open directly. This is the most common mistake people make and it causes detection failures that are easy to misdiagnose as driver issues.

Step 3: Put device in the correct mode Different tools use different connection modes. For most Samsung tools the device needs to be in Download mode (hold Volume Down and connect USB) or accessible via ADB from the setup screen. For MediaTek tools the device enters Preloader or BROM mode (hold Volume Down and connect USB while powered off). For MTP mode tools like HalabTech you just connect normally while the device is on the FRP screen.

Step 4: Connect and wait for detection Once the device is in the correct mode connect the USB cable. The tool should detect it within 30 seconds and display the model name, chipset and Android version. If it doesn’t detect within that window try a different USB port, try USB 2.0 instead of 3.0, and check that the cable is a data cable not charging only.

Step 5: Run the bypass operation Once detected select the FRP removal or bypass function relevant to your device. Most tools will show you what the operation will do before you confirm. Click Execute or Start and do not disconnect the cable during the process. Watch the log area at the bottom of the screen for progress updates.

Step 6: Cold restart after completion When the tool shows a success message disconnect the cable and hold the power button until the device fully shuts down. Wait 10 seconds then power it on manually. Never let the tool trigger an automatic restart. A clean cold boot after FRP operations is important for the changes to take full effect.

Step 7: Complete normal setup Go through the regular device setup process. Add any Google account you have access to. The FRP verification screen should be gone.


Errors and Fixes

No tool detects the device regardless of which one you try This almost always points to one of four things. Wrong or missing drivers. Charging only cable being used instead of a data cable. Tool not running as administrator. Device not in the correct mode for that specific tool. Work through all four before assuming the tool has a problem. These four causes account for the vast majority of detection failures across every tool on this list.

Tool detects device but bypass function is greyed out or fails immediately Your device’s security patch is newer than what the tool supports. Check the patch date in Settings then About Phone then Software Information. Match it against the Android version support column in the comparison table above and try a tool that covers your patch level. If no free tool covers it AMT Tool with credits or a firmware downgrade are your realistic options.

Bypass completes but FRP screen still appears after restart Do a proper cold restart. Hold power until the device fully shuts down, count 10 seconds, then power on manually. Never let the tool auto restart the device after an operation. If the screen still appears after a clean cold boot run the bypass operation a second time. Some devices need two passes before the changes fully commit to the partition.

ADB connection drops during the process A loose cable or a PC going to sleep mid-operation are the two most common causes. Try a different cable. Antivirus keeps deleting tool files Set the folder exclusion in your antivirus before extracting the downloaded archive not after. Setting the exclusion on the download destination folder before extracting prevents this completely.

Samsung device not entering Download mode Try the button combination more slowly and make sure the device is completely powered off before starting. On some Samsung models the sequence is Volume Down plus Volume Up plus Power all together not just Volume Down and USB connection. On newer Samsung models a USB cable connection while powered off sometimes triggers Download mode without any button press.

Driver shows yellow warning icon in Device Manager The driver installed but isn’t working correctly. Right click the device in Device Manager and select Update Driver then Browse my computer for drivers. Point it to the folder where you extracted the driver package.
